Why this matters

Why Upgrade to Windows 11?

Windows 10 support ended in October 2025. PCs still running Windows 10 are no longer receiving security patches — meaning each month that passes increases the risk of malware, ransomware and exploits targeting known vulnerabilities.

Security after Windows 10 end of life

Without ongoing security updates, Windows 10 machines become progressively more vulnerable to known exploits. For home computers this is a real risk; for business machines it can create liability and data exposure issues.

Windows 11 compatibility check

Not every PC can run Windows 11. The main requirements are TPM 2.0, a compatible 64-bit processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. We check your specific machine before any upgrade work starts.

Data backup before upgrading

Any major OS upgrade carries a small risk of data loss if something goes wrong. We back up your important files before the upgrade so you are not at risk regardless of how the process goes.

In-place upgrade vs clean install

An in-place upgrade keeps files and programs. A clean install gives a fresh, fast Windows setup. We explain the trade-offs and carry out whichever option makes most sense for your situation.

Driver and software check after upgrade

After upgrading, drivers, printer software, applications and login accounts are verified. Some older programs need reinstallation after a Windows upgrade — this is checked and sorted before handover.

If your PC cannot run Windows 11

For PCs that do not meet Windows 11 requirements, we give honest options: extended security updates if eligible, continuing with Windows 10 knowing the risks, or realistic advice on whether upgrading the hardware or replacing the machine is the better path.

Quick check before you call

Does My PC Meet Windows 11 Requirements?

Windows 11 requires a compatible 64-bit processor (8th-gen Intel Core or newer, or AMD Ryzen 2000 series or newer as a rough guide), 4GB RAM minimum, 64GB storage, TPM 2.0 chip and UEFI Secure Boot support.

Most PCs manufactured from 2018 onward meet these requirements. Many 2016–2017 machines do not, even if they feel modern enough to use. The processor model is usually the deciding factor.

You can run the official Microsoft PC Health Check app to get a quick answer. If the result is unclear or the machine fails the check, call us and we can confirm whether the result is accurate for your specific model and whether any workarounds apply.
